Bio: Westley “West” Jameson was born in the kingdom of Baronune, but after his mother’s death and father’s disappearance when he was around five, his Uncle Lester took him to live on the outskirts of the kingdom in Old Country. Here West would grow up to be a sheltered from the world around him, and spend most of his time to himself with his uncle. He grew to love the board game, King’s Men, which strengthened his mind as he developed tactics and strategy to beat not only others his age but older adults and instructors becoming the best at the game. It’s in this where the strength of his character lies. West at the beginning of the story has no physical qualities to his name. Even running for long periods of time is a challenge. So West is best left in the back or out of action where he can see how things are playing out and best devise a plan to counter. That being said, West is still young and naïve to the happenings of his own world due to his uncle’s paranoia. After five years of living outside the kingdom, his uncle finally allows West to travel back to Baronune to visit family be it that he should be old enough to take on the responsibility of traveling alone. No one ever foresaw the events to transpire a week later with the death of king, launching the whole series into action.

The Fate of the King Series:

The inspiration West came from a character I came up with years ago. A small boy cursed with a demon inside of him. That never made it to the page because I redirected West’s story once I came up with The King of the Round Table Tournament. I wanted to challenge myself and tell the story from the perspective of someone that would normally be a side character, and then take that character and develop him into the hero readers would grow with. Thus West’s coming of age in the first saga, The New King saga, began. Each book he develops and grows until finally he can stand on his own with his own set of strengths and abilities that no one would expect of him from the beginning of the series. West has a long road ahead of him due to the actions taken within The King of the Round Table Tournament. He’ll face his share of challenges, demons, monsters and even Gods as he navigates his way across this epic I’ve designed. Where West starts off alone and sheltered from the world, his journey will shape him into a man that will be able to lead others and change this unforgiving world into one worth living in harmony.
